The arrival

It was on January 13, 2016, that we took the TAP flight at Lisbon aeroport for this new adventure!

Nervous, anxious, happy but already homesick...
The first plane trip without the family and the first trip without the reason "vacation". Long but good.
In good company and good to know each other better and to go in adapting to each other in this so different context from the usual.



Until May Portugal!

We arrived to the Landevetter aeroport and we were received by two students of the University of Boräs, Rosalinda and Pedro, who explained us everything and helped us in everything we needed.
We had company from the aeroport to Boräs, to get the house keys at the hotel and to home. 
That was great so we do not lose on the first day!! :p

In the following days we had the orientation days. It was great to know the University, the exams, the division of the University, the programs that we need to use and how to subscribe and participate in different activities.
And of course to know the other internacional students.

The ESN had programed different activities for us in this first days that help us alot to know better Boräs and the other students too.
On 15 of January, after the presentations they guided us on a tour to the city and explained the most important places for us to know.
After the tour we were divided in groups and we went to a Fika - fika is a essential time in the day of a swedish person and it consists on a snack with a hot drink and something sweet to eat with friends - where we met our swedish friend Max and we had the oportunity to know better our brasilian friend Julyana.

These first days were great!!!

O meu nome é Maria Benedita da Costa Macedo, tenho 23 anos e sou, como se diz, uma típica rapariga portuguesa - "pequenina como a sardinha". 
Este ano decidi fazer erasmus e vim! 
Vim para a Suécia com duas amigas, a Mariana Silva e a Mariana Gomes, para a Universidade de Boräs!

Sou de Cascais, uma pequena vila linda perto de Lisboa, a capital de Portugal.
Vivo perto do mar e da serra de Sintra (outra linda vila) e adoro praia e andar de barco. 
Faço ballet, e gosto de tirar fotografias e fazer surf.
Adoro ouvir música, ver filmes, cozinhar e coser e claro a minha família e os meus amigos que me apoiam e ajudam em tudo e são a minha vida!

Estou no terceiro ano da licenciatura em Educação Básica, na Escola Superior de Educadores de Infância Maria Ulrich, na Estrela e estou a adorar o que estou a aprender!
Esta vai ser uma experiência fantástica e muito significativa. 
É um bocadinho diferente dos outros erasmus porque, tanto temos aulas como estamos em contacto com as crianças em estágio.

Espero aprender imenso nestes 3 meses de erasmus e que me ajude, não só a conhecer novas pessoas, novas culturas e novas formas de vida, como a vir a ser uma melhor profissional no futuro.

How are you? Fine i hope!! 

My name is Maria Benedita da Costa Macedo, i'm 23 years  hold and i’m, like we say in Portugal, the tipical portuguese girl - " little like sardines". 
This year i dicided to enter the erasmus program and i did!
I came to Sweden with two friends, Mariana Silva e Mariana Gomes, to the University of Boräs!

I’m from Cascais a small and beautiful village near Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.
I live near the sea and Sintra's Mountain ( other beautiful village) and i love the beach and boating. 
I dance ballet, i like to take pictures and to surf.
I love music, films, cooking, sweeing and of course my family and friends that are my life and help me alot in everything!

I’m in the 3rd year of teaching in Escola Superior de Educadores de Infância Maria Ulrich, in Estrela, and i’m loving what i’m learning!
This will be a great experience and with alot of meaning. It's a bit diferent from the other erasmus experiences because we haver classes and contact with the kids because we have practice.

I expect to learn alot in this 3 months of erasmus and i hope that this experience helps me not only  to meet new people , new cultures and new ways of life, such as turn out to be a better professional in the future.
