Textiles workshop 2

Textile workshops always have something new , especially for us ( the Erasmus students ) that do not work this matter in Portugal.

In the first part of this workshop , we went to the textile college to try different ways of stamping.
An experience that i had before but a long time ago and that was very significant.
Stamping can be done in several ways and with different materials , we can use a simple apple to do a shape, or even a wire, a fork, a toothbrush , anything depending on the desire pattern.
The printing we did was manual with fabric paint and we could experience different materials.

In the second part of the workshop , we were doing embroidery.
Different tissue require different lines. If the holes in the fabric are bigger then the line must be thicker , and if they are smaller , the line has to be thinner.
There are several points that give different effects each and free to choose what to do and how you want to do.
It is a very relaxing exercise but that requires time and some concentration.
