In this workshop we worked with a little and abstract piece of a big image, that we choose, with different shades and shapes and we tried to reproduce it in different ways.
In a bigger paper we used graphite, textiles, different types of paper and many different ways to reproduce it.
In school it would be a very interesting work, because the children have the opportunity to try different materials, the ones they wanted to try, and even mix them if they wished.
They had alot of freedom in this work, despite they had to choose a part of the image, which has a positive side. For a child is very complicated to copy an image and if we ask for an abstract part of that image the experience will be much more rewarding.
The child will not have to try to draw a concrete image but something abstract.
The language can also be worked through the transcription and all creativity is put into practice.
Is a work that must be done individually so that each one can work the material they want and be able to experience it as they want, either still think it can be worked in group giving a different perspective to the work that the result will be not only yours but the group and will have different ideas.
